I NEARLY WENT TO PRISON

NearlyWentPrison

Almost four years ago, my husband and I involved ourselves in an argument with two of our teenagers, and unfortunately, this time it turned physical.

Growing up a pastor’s kid came with a certain status and mindset that I was raised right, brought up in the church, and therefore knew and walked the narrow path of salvation. I had trained myself to get up early every day and read the Bible for my devotions. I felt I did not need to pray much for my children as I knew how to raise them in the Lord and to also walk the narrow path. I was homeschool mom to three, stepmom to two already grown and out of the house, and then an international adoption bringing home a sibling set of four beautiful children.

Then, overnight life got really hard. We went from an average size family to a large family and for seven and a half years I struggled to lovingly raise, teach, and train my seven children. As they grew older, things got even harder as they began developing into their own person and it became much more difficult to control external behavior. I grew more and more bitter and angry. I began sending my children to public school one or two at a time, and I went back to work part time as a nurse. I disciplined with anger and the worse things got, the more I quit trying to parent.

Several of the children ran away at different times, which looking back, I know God was trying to get my attention, but I died inside instead. This was the situation leading up to that horrible night, now almost four years ago.

That night, I loosed my anger on the children and as a result we were arrested on misdemeanor assault charges and felony child abuse charges. I was going to jail. I was handcuffed and placed into the back of the sheriff’s car, made to sit on the hard and plastic molded seats. I was driven to the county’s detention center, into the secured sally port and removed from the vehicle. It was then I learned that I was being arrested, not just for assault, but for child abuse as well.

I was searched, photographed, fingerprinted, and handcuffed to a cold, brick wall as I awaited my fate. While the deputy typed up the preliminary police report, I was told I would be appearing before the police commissioner who would determine if I stayed in jail or got released that night. I was not placed in a private cell where I could hide in my shame, but for hours remained handcuffed and sitting on a steel stool in booking. It was already a busy area with deputies, troopers, and corrections officers coming and going, but my high-profile charges made me even more of a spectacle.

Two stools down, another man joined me arrested, loud, belligerent, and intoxicated. We were handcuffed to the same wall, and he looked me over with curiosity. It felt like we were the dregs of society.

Well after midnight, after seeing the stern female commissioner behind the glass window who recorded everything I said, I was finally released. Through the loud, clanging, steel door I was buzzed out into the lobby to await the arrival, ironically, of my 17-year-old son to take us home. My copy of the police report listed a penalty of 25 years in prison for a maximum conviction on both charges. The one hour of sleep and early dawn did nothing to ease the despair into which I descended, seeing the blackness of my sin.

This was the lowest and most broken I had ever been. I was facing my remaining years of life on this earth existing in prison, separated forever from my husband. Would this be the last time I laid in his arms? My home, my children, my life would all go away, and a prison cell would become my reality. Oh, the pain and regret from a burst of anger, and how one sinful choice can change the entire course of life in a split second!

For three days I functioned in a state of shock. Life continued around me, but I was numb to it all. Eventually, I decided that I would go to my children again, and as empty as it may seem, apologize to them for my years of failing to love them. This I did, then went upstairs to my room and made a conference call to several of our closest friends who knew nothing of the week’s events. I disclosed everything to them and then apologized to one of my friends for holding a grudge against her for the last year. She lovingly with open heart received me back.

After the phone conversation, I am still trying to comprehend and could never with mere words explain. God touched me and drew me near to Himself! I was surrounded by His lovingkindness and embraced in His presence! Whether minutes or hours I know not, but His manifold beauty, essence, splendor, majesty, and blessings poured out!

I was overwhelmed with the most abundant fullness of JOY. Joy unspeakable! There was joy in the HOPE of my salvation! This, I remember thinking, is what real joy is! My mind was set on things above as this life is only temporary and then I will forever be with my God and King who loves me!

In His presence, I experienced PEACE, a peace that transcends all understanding! There was a cataclysmic storm of my own making raging around me, but I was in the very calm center at peace, right where He had me.

LOVE, I was filled with an overwhelming desire for my closest but unsaved coworkers to KNOW this MIGHTY God who is real and alive and powerful and present even in this modern day! In fact, I wondered why Christians aren’t falling over themselves, gushing and exclaiming how much God is alive and working and wanting all of us to know Him?

I sat down and opened my Bible. I don’t remember exactly what I read, but I distinctly remember the words became alive, lifting, and communicating directly to me, and there was no sin any longer between the words of God and me! Each meaning of the verse was exquisitely clear and there was no question in what God was saying in His written word. Oh, the excitement to read Scripture all over again, relearning with new insight every word and meaning!

I was purified, and very much aware of my own words. “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips” (Isaiah 6:5). Never again did I want to utter a sinful word! With God’s power, I realized it was possible to guard every word that came from my mouth and use my speech to edify and encourage as God intended. He lifted me high on wings as eagles! Nothing in life mattered anymore but HIM!

No longer did it matter what happened to me or where I spent the rest of my life, I was His and I was here for His purpose! If prison was my destination, then God had a purpose for me being there and I could make Him known there just as well as anywhere! No quarter inch to the left, no step to the right did I dare take! Never again did I want to be away from His majestic and powerful presence!

Since that transforming night with God Almighty, I have tried to comprehend its meaning. I feel compelled, not by my own power, to mightily pursue Christ, to return to the closeness and sweetness and purity of His presence. I feel driven by His Spirit to accomplish His purposes! But so many times, my flesh gets in the way. How many instances do you hear of a person who has been near to Christ, but as time goes on, that person eases back into their comfortable life? This cannot be! He is too valuable to forsake! He is so real and knowing Him is more precious than life itself! “One day in His courts is better than a thousand elsewhere!” (Psalm 84:2, 10).

One week after being arrested, I was working my normal Wednesday shift at the hospital when the very thing I dreaded did happen. My arrest photo appeared in the newspaper and online along with an embellished description of events the night we were arrested. There was no more hiding it or keeping my sin a secret. This was the point where any and all remaining dignity, reputation, and pride in myself was stripped and I was again exposed to society ,but exponentially exposed this time. I left work having a sinking feeling this may be my last shift and took all my personal items with me. My boss called and sympathetically placed me on paid administrative leave “until this all blows over,” she consoled. Not long after, my job termination letter arrived in the mail!

Over the next six weeks it was a tumultuous time for the family as we processed what was happening. Court hearing dates were scheduled and canceled and rescheduled for unknown reasons to us. Meetings with lawyers, children in counseling, anger management classes, and court letter after court letter received in the mail. Our lives stopped but for the anticipation of what was to happen next. Now that the case was transferred to the criminal Circuit court, we learned we could be re-arrested on the same charges and held in jail pending sentencing. Every day at home became a gift from God!

Over the summer there were changes my husband and I began to make at home. I’ve heard it said that it takes 30 days to break a habit. So with that information, I decided to start making myself intentionally do one sacrificial and loving thing for the children each day. I prayed to be the most patient person anyone has ever known. I was given a copy of the Love Dare for Parents and some days it became quite a monumental task to perform a separate loving action or conversation for nine different children in one day! I knew I needed to serve my children, not the other way around.

On Friday, September 2nd we were summoned to the final court hearing. Through haphazard plea deals our lawyer had made over text and quick meetings, we were expecting to finalize the deal to drop charges against myself and my husband’s charges were to be placed on hold for three years before being dropped. The prosecuting State’s Attorney made his plea deal recommendations to the judge and in one heart stopping moment, the judge announced he would not accept the State’s Attorney’s recommendations!

Filled with dread, despair, and disbelief, we waited the next few seconds anticipating a reversal and the announcement of the maximum prison penalty we deserved. In a testimony to God’s mercy, power, and grace, the judge chose to drop ALL charges, and our records were completely expunged! God forgave and removed our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). All glory to God!!

October 13th, 2022, our criminal record was publicly expunged, but for me that date represents the beginning of a second chance! It is no longer my own life. Getting arrested is the best thing that could have happened to me, aside from God’s saving grace. In fact, I tell friends who won’t take it the wrong way, that if you want to change, then GET ARRESTED! This was the catalyst for many necessary changes in my life. I never want to lose my purpose and pray that by God’s sustaining power He will keep me close to Him! I am relearning Scripture and unlearning old, dried up, legalistic ways. Many things I don’t know! Many things I have yet to learn!

My prayers are now focused on my family, the eternal church family, and the lost. God is love and I pray He mightily infuses all of us with His love that surpasses knowledge and is beyond comprehension!

Now that it has been four years since God has become alive to me, he has so abundantly blessed us with so many heavenly blessings. God has now directed me to “prison nursing.” He has allowed me to share Christ with so many people! I get to encourage those incarcerated when they are at their lowest! I get to point people to Christ who are consumed with thoughts of ending it all and have no hope.

And praise God, He has restored relationships for us with our children.

I realize there may be other moms who are stuck in the same religious system I was in. I didn’t know there was anything more than what I was already doing, but I had often questioned, “Where is the victory over sin that the Bible promises, and why can’t I get that victory over my anger?” If your relationship with God is one-sided, academic, and cold, don’t be deceived! For me, I am so thankful that God broke me and stripped me of my arrogant pride. Being broken is a beautiful place to be with Christ being all you have left!

63 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

NancyCooking

Yesterday was the 2nd March, the day we celebrated 63 years of marriage. We were married in Te Puke, New Zealand in 1963 and are now celebrating 63 delightful years!

And what am I doing? Keeping up with life as usual and preparing my sour dough bread. I am mixing in the water to soak the flour (organic spelt and rye) overnight. Today I mixed in my sour dough starter and will let it rise for at least seven hours before I bake the loaves. I have been grinding the grains freshly and baking bread for the last 47 years!

This is my brother, Grant Bowen, as a young man. He passed away a week ago in New Zealand. He was 80 years when he moved on to glory and had been suffering with Parkinson’s for many years. Here he is riding one of one wheel bikes (I think this one is about 16 ft high). He could run and get on it without help.

WHAT IS YOUR MARRIAGE TEMPERATURE?

MarriageTemp

There are many Scriptures in the Bible that don’t mention marriage and yet they are necessary for us to enjoy a wonderful marriage relationship.

One of them is Ephesians 4:32: “Be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” This Scripture is for all people in all circumstances, but I believe in particularly applies to marriage.

There are some wives who are kind to their children and to other people, and yet unkind to their husband. Oh yes, he could have said something very belittling to you and hurt you deeply. How do you be kind when he is unkind to you? Only by the grace of God and the love of Christ that is shed abroad in your heart by the power of the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). And doing kind things for your husband will have its reward. God’s word is true that we reap what we sow. When we sow kindness, we will eventually reap kindness.

Oh yes, I must mention. My current Bible is a secondhand one which I purchased from the Internet. I was challenged when I read the notes beside this Scripture from the previous owner: "Not an emotion. Not a one-time action. But a mindset." How true.

And what about kind words? Our words have more power than anything else to break down or build up our marriage. Make a point of speaking something kind and loving to your husband every day. I love the words of Proverbs 12:25 (TLB): “A word of encouragement does WONDERS.”

However, we are not only commanded to be kind, but to be tenderhearted. What a beautiful word. You can be tenderhearted to your children. Can you be tenderhearted to your husband? He also needs tender loving care. And oh, tender loving words are so powerful. Read these words again in Proverbs 25:16: “A soft tongue breaketh the bone.” Wow, your soft, sweet, and tender words can break down his hard and stubborn heart! You don’t believe it? Well, can I encourage you to try it, not for one day, but day by day and week by week. You will begin to see miracles.

And what’s the next thing. God commands us to forgive. It’s not an option. It is a command. No matter what, we must forgive. Forgiveness not only sets the offender free, but it sets you free. A person will stay bound in the pit of bitterness if they don’t forgive. Why do we forgive? Because God has forgiven us.

A kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving attitude is the foundation of a beautiful marriage.

DID YOU MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

RightPerson

Zig Ziglar gives some good advice:

“I'll be the first to admit that it's possible that you did marry the wrong person. However, if you treat the wrong person like the right person, you could well end up having married the right person after all.

"On the other hand, if you marry the right person, and treat that person wrongly, you certainly will have ended up marrying the wrong person.

"I also know that it is far more important to be the right kind of person than it is to marry the right person.”

YOUR SACRED MISSION

YourSacredMission

It is a sacred mission to embrace to your womb and then to your heart and life the children that God has planned to give you. The purpose of Jesus is to “bring MANY sons into glory.” The obvious fact is that He can’t bring them into glory unless they are first born into this world! Therefore, as mothers, we have a twofold task. Firstly, to bring into this world the children whom God has destined, never holding back.

And secondly to lead them to Christ so they will be ready for the glorious world of eternity. Dear mother, this is our most hallowed task in raising our children. The wonderful thing is that in a godly home where God’s word is read daily to the family, children can come to Christ at an early age.

2 Timothy 3:15 states: “From a child that hast known the Holy Scriptu4res, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” It is the Scriptures that prepare us for salvation, even young children. The word “child” is the Greek word “brephos” and means “a child in the womb,” “a child is newly born,” and “a young child.”

Even in a Christian home we can overlook the important of leading out children to Jesus. We must look for these opportunities. The devil is out to get his hands on our children and the sooner they come to Christ, the better. Apart from one who came a little older, all our children experienced a true coming to Jesus at four years of age. And it is just as real to them today in their late fifties and early sixties.

Pray that each one of your children will have a real encounter with Jesus Christ. Be open and ready to lead them to Jesus. The most important thing you can do as a mother is to know that they are ready for the eternal world. This is the power of motherhood. You have the responsibility and yet glorious privilege of leading them to salvation and one day taking them into glory with you.

On that day, when we stand before God, we will not have any material possessions with us. We will not have a career with us. The only eternal thing we can take into glory apart from our redeemed soul, are the redeemed souls of our children. They will be our “glory, our joy, and our crown of rejoicing” on that day (1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20).

Dear mother, do each one of your children (your little ones, your middling ones, and your older ones) truly know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior? This is your greatest mission.

Blessings from Nancy Campbell

POLISHING TOOLS

PolishingTools

I remember arriving at the home of my future husband. I wondered what it would be like. He was the oldest son of nine children and back in those days I was not familiar with large families. There were only three children in our home, and we could be unruly. I didn’t expect things to be that perfect!

But I was in for a surprise! There was not a thing out of place. The whole house ran shipshape in perfect order. We arrived in the early morning after a night ride on the old steam engine. That night was to be Colins 21st birthday. I had only been in the home a few hours when his mother gave me Colin’s suit and asked me to press it! Help! I knew how to iron but we took suits to the dry cleaners! I was on the spot! Somehow, I managed but I don’t think it was up to par!

Staying on a little longer I noticed how the silverware (the cutlery) had to be polished every week and everything was ironed, even the tea towels and pillowcases! Wow, I can’t remember even having silver in our home. Anyway, the silver looked beautiful and shiny when it was cleaned each week with the Brasso, which we used in those days.

Which brings me to my thought for the day found in 2 Timothy 2:20, 21 (BSB): “A large house contains not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. Some indeed are for honorable use, but others are for common use. So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honor: sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.”

The most honorable vessels are gold and silver (please read 1 Corinthians 3:12-15). However, although gold and silver are expensive and precious, they can tarnish and need regular polishing and shining to show their beautiful gleam.

To keep gleaming and shining for the Lord, we must yield ourselves to polishing.

We get polished in many ways. God’s powerful Word polishes us as we read it each day. Oh my, I got some polishing this morning as I read some Scriptures that really convicted me. What would we do without our daily doses of the Word to keep us on track?

God also uses circumstances, trials, and tribulations to polish us. We don’t like having to go through them, but they are good polishing rags! And He often uses people. Oh, that’s the hardest. People who rub you up the wrong way and get on your nerves. How does silver get polished? We have to rub it up and down until it shines. Often, we must be rubbed up and down to get the tarnish out of us so the life of Jesus can shine through.

I think that marriage and motherhood are marvelous polishers. We can come into wifehood and motherhood thinking we are so pious, but we haven’t yet lived so closely with another human being and gradually more human beings to come who grow bigger and bigger and no one is perfect! So there’s going to be lots of rubbing up and down. But oh, as we yield to the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives and let God polish us, He gradually rubs away the rough spots and the ugly spots and shines us up, confirming us into the image of His dear Son (Romans 8:29).

Therefore, dear fellow wives and mothers, can I encourage you? Don’t resist the polishing., Yield to God’s ways instead of your own way. Let Him expose the spots and blemishes and deal with them. He will cleanse you and make you whole. And make you shine. You will become a shining gem in your home and wherever you go.

Love in Jesus, Nancy Campbell

PRAY FOR MARRIAGES

Pray4Marriages

Genevieve shares a testimony about the power of praying for marriages.
I have had an amazing reminder of the power of prayer. I was praying for three marriages and recently had this exchange with one spouse:

Me: [A couple of months after I told him I would pray for him and his wife…] “I’m still praying for your marriage every day.”

Husband: “I think it might be working. She wants to work on rebuilding our relationship.”

Me: [After a couple more months] “I’m still praying nearly every day for your marriage.”

Husband: “It is working. She is looking at moving back home in the New Year. “

Me: [After a couple more months] “I’m still praying for you.”

Husband: “My wife has moved back home . . . things are much better . . . t looks like a small bump in the road now.”

Then a few months later the couple in the second marriage I was praying for renewed their vows. I felt like singing for joy!

God still listens to prayers. He is still the great Healer. He is still the Restorer. We can still cast our cares on Him because He cares for us! Do you know someone who is struggling? Pray for them. You might not even need to say anything. I hardly did in either case above except to say, “I’m praying.”

WE HUNGER FOR MORE THAN FOOD

WeHunger

We usually think of food being only for the body, but the Bible tells us that food is also for our hearts. Acts 14:17 tells us that God loves to fill our HEARTS with food and gladness. He doesn’t even mention our bodies.
I think we need to starting thinking like God thinks, don’t you?

The Passion translation says: “For he blesses us with rain from heaven and seasons of fruitful harvests, and he nourishes us with food to meet our needs. He satisfies our lives, and EUPHORIA fills our hearts.” Is this translation getting a little carried away? No. The Greek word for “gladness” in the KJV is “euphrosune.”

Euphoria is associated with the hormone oxytocin, and it is well known that we release oxytocin (joy, happiness, and love) when we sit at a table to eat and fellowship with others.

Therefore, dear mother, as you think about what you will prepare for your family this evening, don’t only think about their bodies. Think about their hearts. Think about how to make your table a place that will draw your family to the table. Think about things you could talk about at the table that will release joy, laughter, and happiness. Think about how you could enjoy a little euphoria. Maybe you could ask each one to share the funniest thing that has happened to them this last week.

As people made of body, soul, and spirit we hunger for more than physical food. We hunger for nourishment for our soul. David confesses in Psalm 63:5: “My SOUL shall be satisfied with marrow and fatness.”

He’s talking about his inner man. He wants to satisfy it with marrow. Do you know what marrow is? Have you ever sucked marrow out of a bone? Most people haven’t today, but I grew up doing this. There’s nothing like marrow. We all competed to get the bone with the marrow. It is so rich and satisfying. But we need marrow for our souls as well as our bodies. Psalm 107:9 says: “He satisfieth the LONGING SOUL, and filleth the HUNGRY SOUL with goodness.”

And our spirits hunger too. Does your spirit cry out to be fed? I long for spiritual food. Don’t let the spirits of your children starve each day. Make sure you give them a nourishing portion of God’s Word at your table this evening.

PEOPLE DON’T WANT THEM ANYMORE!

PeopleDontWantThem

This is a message from Katie LaPierre:

This is a picture of a rare species.
They are endangered.

I know they're cute but for some reason people don't want them anymore.
You're not going to believe this, but people actually kill them when they're inside their mother's womb!

Not only that, but people do everything they can to not have too many of them.

I know this one may look sweet but don't be fooled. They cause a lot of problems and get in the way of what people really want in life.

What people really want is freedom.
Freedom from concern for other people.
Freedom from responsibility.
Freedom from serving.
Freedom from putting our self last.
I'm sure you understand why these species are so rare. They just really don't let us be as selfish as we want to be.

I'm kind of joking. Kind of not.

Today I was at the YMCA and the only one with a baby. I didn't see any babies anywhere. Not in the parking lot and not inside the building.
Then we left and went to a restaurant to meet some friends for lunch at lunch time (in other words it was busy). But again, there were no babies.

Not one, except mine. I was thinking about all of this and when I walked out of the YMCA there were these two women standing by the door and they exclaimed: "it's a baby! It's a baby!" I'm not kidding. That really happened. I felt like I had some sort of zoo animal that was almost extinct. And in a way it does seem more like we are going in that direction.

In fact, according to John Hopkins: "In 2024, the U.S. recorded its lowest ever fertility rate of 1.6 births per woman, following a downward trend in fertility rates starting in the early 2000s, and it is consistent with a global decrease in fertility rates."

This isn't surprising in the world because I can see why children are pests getting in the way of our own agendas and kingdoms, but for the Christian this should not be the case.

I met with a young woman yesterday that wants to be a boy and has been endeavoring to do so for the last few years. I said something that kind of shocked her. I told her: "I didn't really feel like having more than two children. If my flesh had its way I would have had one boy and one girl.

But instead I have 11 children because God said they're a gift and reward and so I believe it not because I feel it. But because that's what the Word says. You may feel like a boy but God made you a girl and so my hope is you will go against your feelings and walk in faith according to the way God made you."

That's what the Christian life comes down to. We don't make decisions based on our feelings. Otherwise we will constantly be going against the Word of God. We make decisions based on what the Word of God says. God says children are a blessing and reward and gift from Him and therefore I believe it.

I hope and pray the church at large will embrace what God says about children and not what the world says. After all, isn't this little species pictured adorable?

ARE YOU SHINING?

AreYouShining

The first question “The Westminster Shorter Catechism” asks is: “What is the chief end of man?” We all know the answer: “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” What a beautiful vision for our lives. This is not only for spiritual moments, but for every earthly moment in your life. In your home. Teaching and training your children. Every moment and every task is sacred when Christ dwells in you. Changing your baby’s diaper is no less sacred than sitting in church.

I am always amazed when I read Jesus’ prayer for His disciples and for all who would believe on Him in the future: “The glory which thou gavest me I have given them” (John 17:22). Isn’t that incredible?

Jesus came in the flesh to reveal the glory of His Father. Because He is now at the right hand of His Father, He wants His glory to shine out from all who are born again into His family. We are now His earthly vessels to reveal the glory of the Father. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may of God, and not of us.” Read verses 3- 6 too.

How do you reveal His image and glorify Him? Through your deeds, but mostly through your face. You manifest the glory of God through shining through your loving and kind expressions. Your smile. Your open face (2 Corinthians 3:2, 18).

2 Corinthians 2:14 reminds us that we manifest the fragrance of Christ wherever we go. That’s why we don’t wear masks. They hide your face. They hide your expressions. They hide the glory of God. God loves open faces to reveal His glory. The devil would like to cover faces to hide God’s image.

If you belong to the kingdom of God, don’t hide your light (Matthew 5:14-16). Let the light of Jesus shine from your face. In your home to your children. And wherever you go. This is how you glorify God.

Shine in your home and wherever you go today,

Many blessings from Nancy Campbell

NURTURE YOUR MARRIAGE

MobleyFamily

Did you read the wonderful article, NURTURE YOUR MARRIAGE by Shannon Mobley in the latest issue of Above Rubies? You can read it on pages 6 and 7. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get a picture of their family in time for the printing of the magazine so here it is for you.

Here are a few quotes from her article:

“After 25 years of marriage, I learned that marriage must always trump mothering. My husband was here first. Our union is the foundation upon which everything is laid. We are building our family on the groundwork of a covenant marriage in the Lord.”

“Is there a strong united front between you and your husband? Or do the children play sides, as it were, finding a ‘hole’ in your unguarded union?”

“Our girls giggle every time my husband gives me a little kiss in the kitchen or decides to dance with me spontaneously with my apron on and spatula in hand . . . They love that we love each other. They want that same romance with their future husband.”

“We must feed and water our marriage if it is to survive. When all those sweet children are grown, what will be left of the marriage if we do not tend to it now? We must fight for our marriage above all else.”

Picture caption: Kevin and Shannon with their wonderful family: Caroline (23), Mary Grace (20), Ellie (18), Samuel (16), Josiah (15), Providence (13), Levi (11), Susanna Ruth (10), Malachi (7), Madeline (5), Jacob and John David (1).

If you would like to contact Shannon, this is her current email which is different to what is in the magazine: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
