Dear Above Rubies readers,

Happy New Year.  May God’s blessing be upon you and your family during this coming year. Set your heart to seek Him and His ways.

I was inspired as I read Psalm 25:1 in the Moffat’s translation the other day:

“On thee, Eternal One, I set my heart.”

What have you set your heart on doing this year? It is easy to get our heart set on something that we have planned or that we want to do, isn’t it? But the greatest thing we can do is to set our heart upon the Lord. As we do this, we’ll be going in the right direction and be saved from many devious paths. And no matter what we face, either difficulties or persecution, we will not be moved or swayed as we keep our hearts upon Him.

After a nice rest and precious time of family togetherness over the Christmas period, we are now starting retreats again, only two for the beginning of the year, but we’ll be in full swing in March and April.
